Hey guys first post here, so i just bought a GTR for my duck boat and i put the motor that was on it on my Gheenoe. My gheenoe is 1654. my problem is that when it gets on plane the prop blows out and i can barely hold it back in the water. The boat has a manual jack plate on the back i believe the motor is to high and the plate needs to be lowered is that correct? Any advice on which direction to head would be appreciated thanks guys |

What motor? How tall is the transom? You're probably right, if your transom is too tall it would cause that problem. Depending what motor, transom should be in the neighborhood of 16 inches tall. If the top of your jack plat is around that tall from the bottom of the transom, than maybe just adjust the trailing edge of your cavitation plate. |
