What motor can the frame handle?
I just got a 14 hp long tail, and was wondering how big of a motor could I put on that frame before overloading it? FYI...this is my first mud motor

Re: What motor can the frame handle?
We put a 29hp Big Block Van on a GD Crawfish model with the 58" frame it started out as a 9.5 hp. Frame had to be modified at motor mounting plate to handle wider motor base hole spacing, and u joint modified to 1 1/8 motor shaft size. Frame handles power OK Have about 75hrs on it without any problems. See my other post on this swap for more info.
