I know this has been discussed. But I was wondering if the glider kit with an 8 hp predator will be much different than the ppf the Briggs. Thinks the Briggs is a 6.5 with 8 lb torque and the 8 predator had 12 or 14 lbs torque. Going on an ebads. Thanks |

Depending on the size of the EBADS, a 13hp Predator on a SWOMP Lite frame would be hard to beat. Carson Keitt runs the same set up on a 1436 riveted boat and that little rig is impressive. Below is a link to one of his videos but look at his channel because he has several. I have had my SWOMP Lite for 3 years and have loved it. No issues or complaints. https://youtu.be/rWsCqsjQ5TA |

The difference in vibration and ease with which a Backwater drives will make a very noticeable difference, especially on smaller hulls and sneak boats. I had a PPF for a couple of years and stopped at Backwater to get a new prop for it. They had a swomp lite with an identical motor on a similar hull sitting in the lake behind their shop. They asked if I'd like to try it out. I placed my order and sold the PPF, couldn't believe the difference in how they ran. A side note- we weighed both motors that day as I was still hung up on weight , and guess what, both rigs fully complet with props, oil and full gas tanks as you'd use them were less than ten pounds apart. |

I started off with a 1436 leaky riveted jon with a 25 'Rude that flew, quickly morphed to an 18 HP GD LT and I love it and was lucky not to have sunk it....still wish I had the hull because it was so easy to move around, hide, and would love to try it again with a small HP LT. |
