Prop for 35 hp Beavertail LT
What is the best prop for my 35 hp Beavertail longtail? Just picked it up used. Prop appears to be 9x6 which is what Beavertail has listed as stock. Plan on hunting the boat with 2-3 people couple dozen decoys guns and gear.

I think the big block 35 cqn turn a 9x7 or 9x8. I would suggest Backwater for a prop- you'll save some 50$ plus shipping. They make a durable good quality prop.

Re: Prop for 35 hp Beavertail LT
Just to correct what I posted- BW uses a 9x8 prop on their 35/37 HP motors. I see that Beavertail lists the 9x6 for their 35 HP. You best could call BW and get their opinion.

I am running a backwater 10x6 on my Backwater 35. It out performs the stock 9x8 in load carrying. I would go with it although it will be harder on the shaft if rock strikes are frequent

Re: Prop for 35 hp Beavertail LT
Thanks for correction, Frank! Seems odd BT would list a 9x6 for their 35, it is my second choice for my 26.5 after the 9x7.
