Mud Buddy 23 longtail starving for gas
23 vanguard Mud buddy longtail with the accessory fuel pump, still starving for gas and stalling. The motor is 2 seasons old and I have done everything from a new tank to the suggested extra fuel pump mounted near the tank. The self venting tanks make me suspect of them?? Anyone have any experience with this problem?

Have you tried leaving the cap open a bit? Any leaks in the fuel lines?

^^ like he said sure a wierd cap would do it and it should be test ran loose as a test. But your on your second tank and added a lift pump. I would remove the fuel line from the carb and run the lift pump just to verify you have good fuel flow. After that its time to start thinking about other possibilities. Clean carb , check flow at needle and seat and set the float to start

Re: Mud Buddy 23 longtail starving for gas
check your oil level, too much oil in a 23 will cause it to seem like it is fuel starved. oil level should be just under the full mark. Also, do not run a quick disconnect, the o rings go bad. If you are running a tank made after 2010 the cap has to be left loose. good luck.
