go a 16 hp ran last sat took sun morning it was 3 degrees that morning the motor wouldnt start and the pull was very tight does it sound like water in the shaft that froze time for new bushings? |

Were those 3 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius? The other indications of bushing wear are movement the shaft in the bushing from side to side, high grease consumption, maybe vibration. |

Check to see how much grease it takes in the zurk.. if it pushs water out of one of the seals, then yes you at least have bad seals. but wiggle the prop side to side and see if there is any play in it. if there is any play, then you would need to replace the bearings while you doing the seals. good luck! let us know what you find. Gee Ps- dont take it personal, some of these guys only get 1 hour of internet time a day at the loony bin. |
