So I bought a used go devil LT 16 hp, And the prop is shot. measures 7 1/4. So I am tryin to get the m@#$%^ F#$%^& prop off and it wont budge. Put heat on it all I dare. Used penetrating oil, Big F#$%^& Hammer still nothing. Even made a 4 ft steel bar with a hole in it and still nuttin. Also welded 2 bolts to a 1 in socket and hit it with the impact and yet again nuttin. Any new ideas? Also can the fuel pump leak gas into the oil or would it most likely have been flooded?

did that thanks. Pretty much covered all those options if I cut the prop thru the hub with a grinder will it crack in half? Of course leaving enough not to damage the threads.

Call Go-Devil and ask one of them.

It seams like you have done all the things you can to get the prop off, Don't drive yourself crazy! You'r going to spend the money for a new prop, order a new shaft from Go-Devil as well. I ran into the same problem a few years back and bought the shaft at Mr. Warren's suggestion. Don't remember the cost at the time, but it was UNDER $50.00! It only takes about 20 minutes to change the shaft.

Got it off. Hammer and chisel + drill. The nut never split it just gave up then spun off by hand.

I got it off by drilling the stainless nut from both sides til it let go.
