 P.A.W.S. For Cause A few months ago I started a food bank at my store for pet food. All the donations are going to help families impacted by the oil spill so that they did not have to give up their pets. Well it kinda blew up and now it's huge! It went from just my store collecting food to 6 other PETCO's, 8 veterinary clinics, 3 grocery stores and 18 Gulf Coast Banks. I also just got back from our conference in San Diego and I had the opportunity to meet with some of our food vendors and they are pitching in too.
SO,
On Saturday, August 21st there will be the P.A.W.S. For Cause event held in Buras, LA. It is from 10am - 2pm. There will be free drinks and hot dogs and we will be giving out all this food. I think it's going to be a great event and it's nice to help some people going through hard times.
If you know anyone who is contemplating giving up their pet because the bills are pilling up, please tell them to come out. Even if you don't need anything, just come out and enjoy the celebration.

Re: P.A.W.S. For Cause oh and I forgot to mention P.A.W.S. is the Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society located in Belle Chasse. Thats how we came up with the name for the event.
