Just got back from point au fer island rebuilding our pier. Plenty of birds flying around teal and big Greys. Anyone else hunting this area or close seeing anything?

SETX alot of birds havent talked to anyone that didnt shoot a limit this weekend yet

down in the management area on the wax lake delta saturday had pretty good numbers. we went out there to scout it out a little then made a fishing trip. saw a lot of greys, pintail, and teal. looks pretty promising, cant wait for the season to open up. also was 3 shy of a 3 man limit of reds in about 2 hours.....not a bad day.

dont listen to keestan, there arent any birds in SETX. i promise you that. he didnt even hunt saturday so how would he know

Jordy what did yall catch those reds on? Shrimp? We have been seeing alot of em and cant get em to bite

we tried top water first, pop corks second, then cocahoes next......no luck on any of that shiat......last option was fresh shrimp on bottom and BAM caught 12 straight in about roughly an hour and a half along with some rat reds and a couple of big drum in 2 hours total then it was dead. lately here we been tearing up the hell out of the red fish limiting out just about every weekend(gotta do something until duck season opens up)

Thats the only thing i didnt try had frozen though, Try fresh this wke at the camp goin finish the peir. Nice fish by the way

They have alot on point au fer don't t think anyones coming though, but hey the more the better. We lease 4000 acres of it don't think I'll have to worry about someone taking my pound.
