Post Wear on Beretta
I bought this gun new last year and only have shot a case of shells through it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the wear in the picture is ecessive or it's just normal.

Thanks, this is my first shotgun with the camo pattern on it and wasn't sure if it was normal or not.

I don't know- That seems excessive to me. I have two Beretta Extrema II's and I have not had this problem. Are you hunting the salt? I do not, and this could be part of the problem?

ide say each gun will wear different at that location. the ejector and extractor will have a slightly different finish and alignment to each other. this will cause the spent hulls to eject at a different angle. some may be high some low or anywhere in between. ide say the one pictured is throwing the hulls low and hittin the port. not a big deal and i wouldnt say its not excessive. at the same time i could see a deffrent gun with the same rounds show different wear. no problem as long as they are gittin out of there.

maybe, im not sure. the amount that they would be off would be very small. its the way each peice acts with one another that would determine the angle it ejects. as time goes by they will wear and the angle will change. different shells will even eject differently in the same gun for that matter. i say its fine as long as its gettin the hulls out, im sayin dont think something is wrong with it just because its showing wear different than another gun.

I've got probly 800 rounds through my xtrema 2 and its got the same wear. Mine has it on the top and the bottom though. My only complaint is every once in a great while ill get a peice that comes back and hits me in the eye. I dont know if its powder residue or the camo, I assume its the camo but its happened 3 times maybe since Ive owned the gun. Gotta be the best money I've ever spent on a gun, with the kick off system it makes a 2 3/4 dove load feel like a .410

That's one of the first 391's. That gun is close to 10 years old. That is very little wear for that gun.

I thought that gun was Advantage Wetlands when I first saw it, Sorry.

To answer your question. I have several auto shotguns including two Berettas. They all wear right there. I have an 870 camo that is about a year old and is worn twice as much as your gun.
