there was a guy at the 2009 fausse pointe run that had a gtr that was pretty fast. i think he was from the centerville area he told me he had heads,cam,and exhaust, with stock carb. i had heads, mikuni carb, and exhaust and he walked past me. ive been having problems with my mikuni and was thinking about going back to stock carb anyone know who im talking about? id like to find out what he done to the carb to make it perform.

i want to say it was a gator-tail boat and i think he said he had a hoyt exhaust on it. younger guy 21-25

Just being a GTR makes them like 4 mph faster.

well i have a gtr. i had a stage 1 minus the cam and from what he told me he had, it was fast.

damn i must be doing something wrong then, but any tips from you two would help sound like, if yall boats run like that

If you put the cam in it you will see a huge difference

does that motor have a cam?

so what exactly does the mikuni do to a stage 1 if they run like that with a stock carb? other than the accelerator pump

i have the bps set up but i did it at rods shop and i think i canned everything

i turned about 4000-4060 and ive got a 20'x44'' skiff with 1/8 sides and 3/16 bottom. the bottom is a little messed up but not bad never gps but thinking it runs 33-34. but would love to go back the the stock carb alot less headache. was thinking about that stock 45 mag carb on setx.

I have the bps setup now and i never had any problems with it!! May be see if hoyt will tinker with it for you!! I turn around 4300 or so!!
