 I LOVE BEAVER!!!!
Well the 2010-2011 beaver trapping season is over. I trapped for a total of 28 days. Ending total was 50 beaver 14 muskrats 3 otter and 3 mink. Our largest beaver tipped the scale at 72lbs and ended up stretchin 78 inches around. It was a great season.... enjoy the pics

 Re: I LOVE BEAVER!!!!
Well most furs trapped in the U.S get either shipped and sold to canada to the large fur auctions. I would say about 75 percent of the furs get shipped over seas after that. China buys most the muskrats nowadays and Russia buys most of the Coon. Some beaver is kept in the Us but most is sheared and also sent overseas. What China and all them do is beyond me. I just enjoy trapping and a little extra money.

 Re: I LOVE BEAVER!!!!
They sure aren't worth the effort it take to trap and skin them thats for sure. I just sold some yesterday and for what they call super blankets and blankets I was gettin $25 bucks a piece, I do it for the enjoyment. It would be hard nowadays to make a living at it. Tell ya what ya give me a place to crash for a few weeks I'll come down and thin em out a little lol

 Re: I LOVE BEAVER!!!!
Yeah I try to save a few of them and clean them up. I give a few away to some local guys. Theirs also a hight demand for them as bear bait. I try and keep or give away as many as I can. I think its excellent in the crok pot witha little bbq sauce served like pulled beef
