When a pushpole beats the hell outta reverse
When you are running lumber back and forth to your camp and you don't check the gas tank. Who woulda thought the damn pole reached to the bottom of the river. LOL

Re: When a pushpole beats the hell outta reverse
Been there, done that. It's embarassing as all get out, but it will eventually happen to all of us. lol Few yrs ago, I could run to my spot & back with me & a buddy twice & still have about a gallon & 1/2 left in a 6 gallon tank. Took a 3rd guy with us one day (had about 3/4 tank of gas). Made all the way back there (20 mins), but only about a mile back & ran out. Definitely sucks.

Re: When a pushpole beats the hell outta reverse
What I've been told is that a 35 Briggs on the mud motors should use about 2 gallons per hour. Give or take depending on load.

Re: When a pushpole beats the hell outta reverse
Luckily, we had enough in the "extra" can to make it back.

Re: When a pushpole beats the hell outta reverse
In this case reverse would have been a better choice. A broken LOOP Pushpole hurts the pocketbook. http://saltyshores.com/wordpress/2011/0 ... push-pole/
