 Columbia customer service
I had a columbia omni widgeon jacket that was 7-8 years old that ceased to be water-proof last year and had a zipper that was malfunctioning. i emailed the customer service department and they told me to send the garment in and they would evaluate it and let me know something. i just got an email that they are sending me a brand new jacket. all it cost me was shipping the jacket to them. they're sending me a large in the timberwolf pattern. cant ask for anything better than that. paid 275 or so for the jacket new back then and now the new ones go for 720. hell i made money http://www.columbia.com/Super-Wader-Wid ... lt,pd.html

 Re: Columbia customer service
Thats going above and beyond. Thats more than a company should do for customer service. But thats why they are so well known and worth the extra money for their product.

 Re: Columbia customer service
Im on the Columbia Guide Pro-Staff and their customer service is Awesome, as well as their products. I've got the Quick Loader Parka with shell tubes in the front seam. It's cool. The Omni-Tech is just as water proof/breathable as Gore Tex. Try using Camp-Dry arerosol spray on it every season to help it stay waterproof and wash only once a season, and don't put it in the dryer. Good Luck

 Re: Columbia customer service
I have tried alot of brands over the years and I like the columbia but I think riverswest has the best in waterproof gear IMO.

 Re: Columbia customer service
honestly it was my fault the waterproofing quit working. i washed it after the storm and used fabric softener to get that nasty stagnant water smell out of it; and they still made good by it for me.

 Re: Columbia customer service
Columbia and The North Face are some of the only companies that I know that will do that. Thats why i prefer to spend a little more on their stuff than the store brand.
I saw a book about Gert Boyle at the columbia outlet in Katy. Just read the back cover but it looked like a good story.
I think that Columbia needs to step up the new product line to compete with some of the drake stuff. I have been really happy with the drake stuff but i am wondering about the customer service... has anyone delt with them?
