Re: question how's work picking up or dieing off plumbing Its been up and down for all most two years for us here in florida screwed up me getting a new surface drive had to go with a used longtail but i really like it ( my first one)

Re: question how's work picking up or dieing off cooper tire and rubber.....can't make enough tires right now. our plant is hiring 160+ by the end of the year to add another shift in 2010. glad to see this happen. get to go back to 2-2-3 schedule now. finally some days off to hunt and be with my family starting in january. thinking about going to school on my off days to learn welding. one semester for the basic stuff and another emester to learn the more advanced welding. thought it might be handy to learn a trade. worth it or waste of time?

Re: question how's work picking up or dieing off Coal is fairly busy with low margins. Asphalt and bitumen products is near dead. Natural gas exploration and development is doing rather well. Green stuff is starting to pick up. Bond writing has been good and the technical training / consulting stuff is doing well . I'd give the whole package a c- compared to the past ten years.

Someone got fired last trip and I am the only one that can fill the spot. So I am still here for now.
Work is busy due to 900 whites got laid off in the last year and a 1/2 .
