Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
To get to Nola. go I-49 south to I-10 and stay on I-10 Eeast. Do not take I-12 east unless you are bypassing NOLA. Baton rouge traffic sucks. be safe and have fun

Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
Take a gas mask... Bourban St. smells like vomit, you can tell your getting close to it when you smell the stench... Just got back from there a week ago... Buy your beer at the corner market its cheaper ( some will even put it in a bag with some ice ).. The food is high and so-so, The only place i ate that is worth telling about is The Court of Two Sisters, it was good but get ready to pay... Had a good time people watching on Sat. night and man it alot of folks... Use caution and be safe, they is some crazy mofo's down in there...
We ate at the Acme Oyster House... It was so-so (my .02) Lots of fried food... The Greasy City...

Make sure to hit up the bourban cowboy. Its classy enough, but you still get to see the goods on the mechanical bull. lol

Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
Absolutely do not go all the way to I-10 on 49. That would make you a Tard for sure. Take 49 south to Opelousas, exit on 190, take 190 east to hwy-1 (@ ms river), South on hwy-1 to I-10, I-10 to NO. Its faster and why chance getting stuck on the I-10 causeway.

Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
ronnie.. the road is tore up rite now betwen krotz springs and opelousas on 190. also hwy 1 in port allen is a bitch. if willys comin thru at lunch he mite as well just cross the river and go thru BR
willet i did forget about that way/ where u were comin from... get with paul thats the way hes been this way before. but i would avoid the i-10 new mis rivr bridge at all cost.. no matter what time of the day

Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
Peter, what ever you do ,do not go pass the iron pipes cemented in the road(ground) on bourbon. You will see Jus10's type of people. I'm sure a man of your character don't hang with those type people.

Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
Werd to ronnies advice. 190 is a good bypass but the 4 mile bridge is rough and the popo love to give tickets. No speeding n port barre, krotz springs, Livonia, and erwinville. Then u can cross in lobdell like Ronnie said. Either way you go u are not Far from my house or work.

Re: New Orleans on Friday night then Panama City
If you are near Bourbon and hungry, go to either Port of Call or Yo Mamas and get a burger. If you go to Port of Call, get a Monsoon with your meal.

F the quarter. And go where the locals go ... Lucy's. U will see some grade A talent for sure. The quarter is nothing but trouble. Go eat at Dragos for a reasonably priced meal that is damn good. It's at the foot of canal st by the river/casino.
