I live out of state and am thinking about hunting the atchafalaya delta wma at the main delta or wax lake outlet. This season. I understand that there are two campgrounds on the wma. Does anyone have the gps coordinates to them? Is it worth making the ride to hunt it? Does it get crowded and tough to find a spot? thanks.

Very tough and very crowded. Waiting on da oil at this time.

i hunt on the south side of the WMA on private lease... it can get crowded at times... on a good north wind you should here the gun shots ring out on a weekend... wish ya the best... right now the oil has luckily stayed east of the atchfalaya and four league bay... there has been some minor sheen that came up through mosquito pass and some tar ball on the south side of point au fer...
