| Post subject: | Atchafalaya Delta wma campgrounds |
I live out of state and am thinking about hunting the atchafalaya delta wma at the main delta or wax lake outlet. This season. I understand that there are two campgrounds on the wma. Does anyone have the gps coordinates to them? Is it worth making the ride to hunt it? Does it get crowded and tough to find a spot? thanks. |

i hunt on the south side of the WMA on private lease... it can get crowded at times... on a good north wind you should here the gun shots ring out on a weekend... wish ya the best... right now the oil has luckily stayed east of the atchfalaya and four league bay... there has been some minor sheen that came up through mosquito pass and some tar ball on the south side of point au fer... |

for anybody that may be interested here are the coordinates to da camp ground at wax lake where people set up tents and park der camp boats durin duck season: 29* 32'16.70"N/91* 26.09.22"W |
