Dad earned enough points last year that he qualified to show at the NCHA Eastern Nationals, which is going on now. He just called and said that he and his horse did well enough to make the cut for the finals!

Hell yeah.

I had one experience with a cow while riding a horse. I ain't no cowboy and my old walking horse weren't no cow pony. Ground comes up quick. :oops:

The last go round was yesterday and he's on his way home finishing 14th overall. He had a 10 point penalty for a "hot quit" and got a score of 204. His score from the day before was 213.

Not Bad. That was always my problem with cutting, the damn judges could be very biased at times. But to each his own. Thats why I only kept team roping when I quit. They don't judge on how you work the cattle, just how fast you can be.

It is amazing how well those horses can turn on their back feet so well. Great pic.
