If you come within a couple hundred or so yards of some birds, they are gonna get up, whether you are in a pirogue or a boat. Birds don't like people, no matter wtf you are driving. |

I've been reading the Sportsman for years and I honestly don't think I've seen a more negative group of people than the ones on the Sportsman. Read any article about Wax Lake and it's always the "yahoo's in the Surface Drive scaring the birds". I hunted the Wax for years and there are were some real idiots with outboards before. As for Pearl River WMA I've hunted there for over 15 years. There are about 20 good ponds that anyone can hunt south of 90. If you put 200 people in those ponds the ducks go bye-bye. Plus what about all the sky busting going on? To me sky busting runs off way more ducks than MM. Just my .02. |

yeah the funny thing is when they have the bass boats going 60 past their pond and people fishing all year long weather salt or fresh. i have an outboard and i can pole around in anything that has 8 inches of water.i also have heard mudboats that are way louder then my pro-drive.but you don't hear about them complaining about the fishermen and mud boats wich are out there all year long in our PUBLIC land get a lease and quit complaining that's why its PUBLIC ![]() |
