This is the most awesome start to a duck season I've ever seen. What a great day to share with my sons.

Ther came up for the opener from Connecticut and New Hampshire. If any of us could have shot worth a toot early on, we'd have been done by 7:00 AM.
As it was it took a while longer! Our shooting improved dramaticly as we all settled down and stopped rushing the shots. We had to get selective once the Mallards were in the boat and that took a little longer. 3 woodies, 2 blacks and a Ringer rounded out our bag. Tule had 17 retrieves, only one he didn't get was the one Steve dropped in the boat!!

Early goose gave us one fine day last week, 15 honkers between 2 of us with 2 banded birds. I needed 1 more for my 8 bird limit and I just couldn't close the deal in spite of a lot of great opportunities. It was a comedy of errors and piss poor shooting on my part!
