We just got in from our opener, killed 3 blackheads (scaup) and 3 ringnecks. The game warden held us up for 20 minutes, messed up some black ducks/mallards and some more blackheads, if he wasn't there we probably woulda got around 10 birds. Everybody was shooting good, saw a lot more birds than anticipated, haven't seen many here so far.

Killed a few woodies. Only other birds we had come in was a pair of teal. But they did it twice and lived to tell about it. Was warm, muggy and raining to start. After everything got good and wet the north wind hit and dropped 20 degrees in an instant. Had a kid almost run into the back of my rig as we drove into the landing. Then I notice some idiots parked in the middle of single launch loading gear into a small jon boat from their trucks. So we had to wait for them to finish their circle jerk along with 2 other rigs waiting to launch. These people never cease to amaze me.

Hunted this morning with 3 people. Ended up with 12 greenwing teal, and one female smiling mallard. We shoulda had a limit early, but we lost 2 in the marsh and we couldn't hit the birds this morning. I think the last time I shot this bad was last years opener.
