Need a quick response to this as i am talking to a friend on the phone. Wants to know what you guys use too etch the aluminum and what paint that you guys use that has lasted the longest. Told him i would ask the EXPERTS on this. SHOOT! |

I believe its called Aluminum Bright for the etching Duralux is what I have seen everybody talk about as the best for alum boats |

I used Muratic Acid to etch it and used regular ole primer. And regular ole flat paint to paint it. |

tahnks guys i'll let him know, brad i have herd of some guys using the duralux on their boats with no complaints, so we'll see what he wants to do, thanks for the quick responses |

x2 on the zinc chromate, we use it on aircraft and i have only seen one corrode in 6 years |

X3 on Zinc Chromate...used it on my other boat I painted and it worked great. |
