My buddy bought a center console with a MB. It's a 1448 Weldcraft with a tunnel & float boxes. I know, I know - not a the ideal setup, but it's his & he likes it. My question is this: I noticed today that the steering wheel doesn't always return to the same position after a turn. Just say for example, ya start out in a straight line with wheel @ 12:00, after makin a turn into a ditch ya straighten out & the wheel is now @ 3:00. When ya make another turn & then straighten out, the wheel's now @ 10:00. Is this normal for any boat with hydrolic steering? I've never noticed it before in other cc boats & was wonderin if it could possibly be a leak or if it's the norm. Ok, JC, here's your chance to teach me something. ![]() |

It's normal. Da sterrin wheel is just a manual pump for da hydraulic fluid. |
