do the long shaft conversion. I called Peck and he told me it would take 1hr of labor plus the part, which I thought was very reasonable. There are several pro-drive dealers around here, H&W Marine in Tyler, Marshall, Bossier, they can do it but want to charge 4hrs of labor at $85hr plus the part. I would just bring it to Loreauville but it's a 5 1/2 hr drive. Does anyone know of another shop that can do the swap closer to me?

Do it yourself.

Line up someplace that can weld alum and you can have it done in a couple of hours. It's pretty easy.

I'm probably gonna make the trip down there, but with deer season going strong and duck season starting this weekend I was looking for something closer.
