Sighting in your expensive new deer rifle;

1. Shiny new, high-powered deer rifle............$1,200.00

2. Quality, high-powered scope.........................$550.00

3. Bore sighting device..........................$140.00

4. Forgetting to remove the bore sighting device prior to actually shooting the damned thing?

Priceless

The rifle barrel peeled back like that is photoshoped, I'd put my money on it. Nevertheless, the story could very well be true and that's a bad lick for this guy if it is.

I've seen a barrel flower exactly like that after being shot with mud in the barrel!

I got this in an email, so I can't speak for the guy on the stretcher, or if it's photoshopped, but my dad actually peeled back the barrel on his Wingmaster like that about 20+ yrs ago. He'd stabbed it down into the mud while pickin up a goose, when another fly by. Without knowin he'd got it in the mud, he shot. Poof, new barrel. He wasn't hurt, but crapped himself!! :lol:

Here's the other pics that came with the email.

I blew up the barrel on my SX3 in '08. It didnt flower like that but all the pellets left through the side of the barrel from the new opening. Had a wad get stuck at the choke tube
