 Re: Woody Whacker
I can only speak for myself... The Wood Duck is one of the few native resident Texas Ducks... Their call brings out a surge of adreneline the sight of them is very beautiful... And they are downright delicious...
We have suffered a series of brutal hurricanes which have decimated their numbers and habitat here on the Texas Gulf Coast - so we are just now seeing good numbers again...

 Re: Woody Whacker
Points well taken gentlemen. Totally understandable. I guess seeing how we kill so many woodies I kind of turn a blind eye to their true beauty sometimes. Glad you guys are seeing a good woodrow population again. They sure are the best tasting duck to roast whole glazed in lemon juice and black pepper.

 Re: Woody Whacker
There are a few in North Alabama so far. Don't know if they made it to Texas yet.
