I am buying a Yamaha boat motor tomorrow over the phone and thinking about driving down and picking it up. I am buying it from a La dealer. I am very busy right now and will not be able to pick it up for 3 weeks or so. I heard about Uship and was wondering if anyone here has used this process. If you have I would like to hear how it went. Also if you know what the shipping size of a new in the crate Yamaha 90 hp four stroke motor is?? Thanks Randy |

talk to the dealer, he may have a shipping source already set up and may be cheaper. |

Thanks. All of the Yamaha dealers state they cannot ship motors. I will talk to the salesman and see but if not I will have to have it rolled my way or I will have to roll its way. Randy |

Randy, About a year ago i bought a golf cart on ebay that was in Georgia...put it on uship and a guy in tennesse was coming to OK and bid me $400 to go over and get it and bring it to me...every other shipping was at least a grand...it was easy to do and i highly recommend using uship. Woody |

I used uship to get a 30' boat from Arizona to IL. Cost me 2500. Overall, everything was easy and I was able to talk to several shippers. Make sure you ask about their insurance and check their feedback on the uship page. Good luck! |

Your dealer should be able to ship a motor to you FedEx freight. May be a couple hundred bucks though. Talk with Mudd, I hear he makes trips down south quite often.? |

Last mud motor I shipped from IN to LA, cost like $168........ 400# 7ft x 3ft x 4.5ft. At one point I seen a yamaha 90 (2stroke) in it's factory crate, it was around 7ft long, about 3ft wide and about 2 ft tall, like 290# I think. Hard to beat fedex freight for something like that. Hired Jim Allemang or his brother (via Uship)to pull a couple gator tail boats up my way, they were based about an hour out of Lor'ville LA, his # is 3373027765, not sure if they still run stuff or not? |

Shipped my Hyperdrive from ID to WI for less than $200 on UShip. My PD came from Loreauville to ID for about $300. Still a good deal. Just today I received two 18' boat hulls (600+ lbs each) from Iowa to ID. We paid $950 to ship them BOTH. Beat that anywhere. The guy busted his ass through three separate blizzards on the way back. Randy, the great thing about UShip is that shippers have feedback on them, just like Ebay sellers. It is a very similar process. I post the load on UShip every time I ship something that is too big to go UPS. |

I had my prodrive rig shipped from La to CA from someone off of uship and I have no complaints. Be sure to read all of there reviews and really look at the complaints. Some guys start off doing small stuff with no problems then when it comes to doing big stuff start messing up. Also make sure they have the DOT license. You can get there number and check their history off of the dot website. |

Well my motor is paid for and sitting at H am M waiting to be shipped. I called Fedex freight and the cost should be around 180 bucks. Now I need DA to get off work and take it to the Fed Ex office. I am ready to repower my boat. Randy |

The price is right and I asked about some kind of a discount and they said 'Yes' you qualify for a 60 percent discount. Sounds like a winner to me. The dealership told me that they could not ship the motor to me now I'm wondering if I could have Fedex to go by and pick it up??? I really want to go and pick it up myself due to me Jonesing for some crawfish but fishing is good. Randy |

Is that H&M in Crowley you got the motor with? My buddy had issues with that place when he tried purchasing their Bayboat. I hope they take care of you better than him. |
