Thats a VERY and good versaltie recipe. I it also is good with specklebelly, deer hog and just about anything else. I normally put em on a shish ka bob and bbq em. if you try it with anything with a little bit tougher meat hit it with a meat tenderizer it seems to do the trick |

If you won't eat a coot, then you shoudln't eat a duck either. They are milder than most divers, an definitely right there with most puddle ducks. |

Some people around here hunt specifically for Poule deau. In fact when get back from my hunts, my Grandmother (she live next door to me) asks me if I killed any for her. She never asks about the ducks, only poule deau. |

Guess I just need a really good accurate recipe. I'll try anything once. If they are good I'll shoot em. Might mean less will make it south though.... wouldn't want that held against me. What about ringnecks? I've heard the same about them. Just never tried them. Like Orangefoot said, been raised hearing they weren't any good so I wasn't going to waste any shells on them. |
