I have a 410 thats a lil over 100 years old that my youngest son has used the last couple of yrs. The hammer is no longer hitting the firing pin and id like to get this fixed before saving it for the future. Ive never had to use a gunsmith so not sure who is good and who isnt. If anybody knows of a good gunsmith around the Lafayette are please let me know. Thanks in advance. |

Chris at Custom Gun Works in Lafayette, LA. He's located on Johnston St (Mall side) right next to Master Marine. |

Just look up the hammer spring on Numrich gun parts and replace it. |

Haven't been impressed with Custom Gun Works after Barney's bought them. Been using Bayou Teche with good results. |

I was dealing with them when the big man with a beard still was in on it. I cant recall his name. He was in a deer club with me but moved to west texas. Sorry to hear it went to $hit |

Duhon's Gun Shop in Abbeville is another vote. Elson Duhon is the guys name. He also owns Duhon's Mud Hole in the back where I used to drag race my CJ-7. |

The last time I will ever use Custom Gun Works they held my gun for 2 months then called for me to get it and they had a sign on the door saying due to back log we are closed for next two weeks. I could see them working in the back. |

There is a place on Ambassador Caffery PKWY. I can't remember the name of it but it is across the street from The Tilted Kilt. ![]() |
