Me and a friend are lookin for ways to make some extra $$ this summer and are talkin about pullin in cypress logs.
Is there any money in it? Anybody got any experience with it?

 Re: Sinker logs.
It's not free money like it seems on tv. Don't think your just gonna find a log and yank it out with the boat. It's gonna take more equipment than that.

 Re: Sinker logs.
I know its guna cost alot of money for the scuba tanks and whatnot.
I think I can get an old party barge pretty cheap and mount winches on both ends to pull the log up between the pontoons, think this will work?

 Re: Sinker logs.
Something I just gotta get off my mind -
I watch these retards on Axe men and swamp loggers snatch and pull on a log until their boat almost sinks, then dig out the dynamite and start blasting away. I'm sure all of this makes it much more interesting than it is for tv, but...
A gotdam 2'' water pump like you use to pump blind poles down would be a hell of a lot easier to get them broke loose to me. You would hardly have to get out of the boat and act like an idiot for the camera. Just a thought-

 Re: Sinker logs.
Ive seen one episode of that show, way too dramatic.
All these stumps that beat up my boat have logs sunk somewhere..
Ive heard all kinds of prices for logs from 150 to 1200 does anybody know what they really go for?
