 Airboat Hull Teflon????
Guy's i am looking at installing a sheet of Teflon that is normally used on the airboats.
Haven't look much into it so i was wondering who sells it and installs?
Basically the advantages and disadvantages?
Thanks in advance.

 Re: Airboat Hull Teflon????
you can get in from Robicheaux's airboats in Franklin most likely..
Idk how much it would really help on a mudmotor... maybe help take some stress off the hull when hittin trees and stumps... In lillies it might help untill it heats up then gets sticky.

 Re: Airboat Hull Teflon????
I'm actually in the process of building a 16' x 48" with 3/16" bottom flat to put my gator tail on. I was thinking of putting the teflon to help slide on mud and crossing stumps in the thick lillies, i was thinking it would just make it easier to move my hull around being i go in evry scenarion there is.
I've been told the froggspit stuff works good and it will be lighter, so maybe that's a possibility.

i know in green lillies or thick flotaun the teflon on our airboat gets hot and drags us down... a lil spray rig helps a lot though... some liquids are better than others

I put 1/8" uhmw on my first GT boat and am getn ready to put it on my current GT boat. I stick it on with 3M 5200. Once it cures it is a Biatch to get it off. It makes a huge difference in the lilies, mud, sand and on stumps and logs.
