Post GTR Trim Problem
All my motor will do is trim up. If I push down on the switch, it trims up. If I push up, it trims up. Whats da problem? Also, my trim ram has about one inch of play in it. Meaning, if I push down on the prop end of the shaft you can see the ram move in and out of the pump about an inch. Anybody had that problem before?

Someting is wrong with your relays. If the ram is moving like you say the seals are blown. It need to be resealed.

The ram was replaced a couple months ago. There is no oil leaking anywhere. It kinda has me puzzled about the ram movement. I just got this thing back from GT yesterday. Looks like Im gonna have to go back again Monday. :x

Is it holding the motor up or does it fall back down? If it holding then its probably not the ram. There are internal seals in them so you wouldnt neccesarily see any fluid.

Yes it does hold the motor up. somethings deffinately wrong. hopefully they will replace the trim unit instead of rebuilding it again.
