thats what i thought.......thats f'd up............i was going to buy one from him off of there b/c the area code looked like a morgan city area code and thats down the road from me but if he's copying without the orginal design owners written consent he will not get my business. |

I'm sure neither him or Turbo were the first person to make an aluminum cover for a GTR... but if he did in fact buy one of Turbo's and copy that sucks, but what can you do about it? |

Its funny how everyone on here is quick to start saying someone copied off some one else. Truth is my engine cover broke like most of them do so I built one like the plastic one! some people saw it and asked if I would build them one so I did! If I did copy off any one then I guess I copied off gator-tail just made it out of aluminum! As for as the boat I bought from Jason I really liked it but did not like many things on the boat. I will not go on to detail because it would not be fare to Jason and I do not bring my thoughts public. I guess I copied off Jason because I went to Scullys boats and had them bend me one. Also for the record I am not a sponsor on this website because I respect Uncle J and do not want to sell my boats in his market. Jason is a great guy and a great boat builder and I do not want any heart feelings so I do my own thing. I just wanted to let everyone know the truth! if any one feels that I am copying off them please contact me directly and I will handle it! Also just for the record I did not start this thread! |

Its all good man everyone already knows your antics so go ahead on. For the record these covers that this guy is selling are not my covers and look nothing like mine but i know where the idea came from so buy at your own risk, yes i came up with my own design of the covers because when i thought of it i hadn't seen one at the time nor have i ever seen one built for the GTR. So if you want a cover i would be glad to sell you one and help you out in any way that i can, Pm me with any questions i would be glad to talk about price! If you buy this guys covers i will not be mad! As far as this guy goes i do not know him. That should clear that up! |

Who cares if he is making em? Its not like he is claiming to be the original creator of it. |

Really it is just a hobby that I like doing. It would not bother me if no one would by them. I am just offering something that I can build and make a few bucks to support my hunting. If any one would like one and want any custom items on it just let me know. I can put running light mounts or any thing else. I am sure some one will now say I am copying off them by offering custom features. |

I prefer a cypress fork to a silver one. Adds to the flavor... |

Mark my word, its only a matter of time before someone else makes a carb support like mine, I have no patent, so therefore no protection. But what I am pretty sure of is that they wont sell on here, because everyone knows I am the one who first came up with it, and as far as I know im not on anyones 'foes' list. anything after mine would definitely be a copy. My feelings are the same about these nice covers, we all here on MMT know who originally started it, and thats probably where the business will stay. just my .02 |

youre right craig they have, and it looks absolutely nothing like mine.it has bolts that wrap around the entire carb to bolt it down. the only other solid mount for a mikuni is to adapt it to an s&s intake. |

patents are only good if you have the money to sue the person that stole your idea... so the little man can't afford to do that just for a hobbie on the side |

You should see him carrying a clutch cover. He puts it on his shoulders, and walks with it.. He is soooo small and cute.. |
