I opened my center console and it was almost empty --- I freaked

Missing:

1- Garmin GPS 60 csx

Alright dumdass, lock your doors next time. You remind me of my friend, the former mayor of Carencro. He never locked his doors, left his keys in his car. You will not keep a determined theif from stealing your stuff, but you might keep an honest man honest. My .357 S&W magnum was stolen when my home was burglarized about 8 years ago. Culprit was caught but never recovered my gun.

If you grew up in Carencro you better be nice to me, trust me.

In my circle of friends the use of the word "bastids" is unique. I wouldn't be surprised if we have mutual podnahs, which would explain your dumbassidness.

Hey Brad, that wooden pirogue hanging from the ceiling at Pauls Pirogue restaurant, I built.

Hold on, my phone is ringing....."yes, yes I'll represent you. Send the merchandise to me and I'll return the stuff to the fellow in Carencro. I happen to know him. So the doors were unlocked. I know you feel bad about stealimg the stuff and now want to return the stuff but don't worry he'll forgive you and won't press charges. He's like that...he has a great appreciation for the plight of the young African American. Why did you do it. Oh, you read BradS' posts on MMT, too, and have a GTR35 with mods. Not too many African American have them. Oh, you got one when Obama was elected. Well good for you. Meet me at my office at 9 tomorrow morning and bring my $10,000 retainer with you. Goodbye."

So BradS, pm me where you want to meet so I can deliver your stuff, podnah.

So why would you leave a pistol in your truck over night? I would have taken 30 extra seconds to take it out. Sorry about the brake in. This is what you learn in the army secure your weapon or somebody else will and kill you with it.

I agree with both of the last two posts! I avoid leaving firearms in vehicles. The thought of some punk doing wrong with my weapon sends chills down my spine. However, I would prefer to keep one in every vehicle! I just don't think it is safe or practical.

I try to stick with concealed carry (where permitted), so the pistol is always with me. I try to avoid leaving long guns in the truck or car, unless it is just for a quick stop and they are hidden or locked in the trunk. Then again, I live very close to NVA where the pistol thats stolen today could be pointed at your head tomorrow!

Damned sorry for your loss!

I leave guns in my vehicle because it's MY VEHICLE. I also have guns in my home because it's MY HOME. Yes...i also understand that having a gun in your vehicle can subject you to having it stolen...but so does having one in your home. If you take your firearm out of the vehicle each and everytime you get out....what do you do with the firearms left in your home? Should these be taken out each and every time i leave also? I personally would much rather risk having it stolen than to not have it at all. I've been carrying a firearm in my vehicle for 10-11 years and have so far been lucky....I've never had my vehicle broken into. I cant say the same about my home.

I have a gun in every vehicle I own but that gun also comes with me when I leave the car. It does no good in my truck when I need it on the 2nd floor or inside the house etc. Granted you may have more weapons laying around inside your home but James does bring up a good point what happens if your spare house keys are laying in the cup holder along with a gun in the center console... You just armed the bad guy & gave him keys to your home... Just be careful, be smart & be safe!

If you keep valuables in your car you should get an alarm installed. I have one in my vehicle and it definitely puts me at ease when I go to bed at night. They make alarms nowadays with two way pagers, so if you are within a mile of your vehicle it will page your remote to let you know the alarm has been activated.

Clifford, Python, and Viper are all good products. All are made by DEI and are basically the same alarms. Do some research online to find the cheapest place to get one. The only suggestion that I have is DON'T buy any refurbished alarms.

I know CB5331 is in the same line of work as me and may be able to chime in on this subject.

Hate to hear that B. But as I have more than once here, never leave anything in a vehicle you can't live without.
