Apparently when you pick on one you better get ready to take on the flock. My dad has between 200-300 or so BBWD that land behind his house every morning and night to clean out the bird feeders. A hawk tried to dive bomb them and failed in his attempt. Apparently BBWD don't take any sh1t and about 30 of them took off after the hawk. They ran that hawk all over the place and were trying to dive bomb it. This went on for several minutes until they were finally out of sight. The BBWD's shortly returned and resumed feeding. Never seen a duck take on a raptor before, but a BBWD is an odd duck. |
