I bought one for my wife and she still goes out and buys the hard copy... It's a neat concept if they will actually use it. Some people just like to physically hold a book in their hands. |

Brooks Mines has an I Pad and the Nook color with 3G And she prefers the Nook and it's much cheaper than the I Pad. She puts it in a large ziplock and reads while floating around the pool and can see the screen fine in the sun. Hope this helps. |

My wife chose the original Nook in B/W over the color model... Better battery life and easier to read outside in the sun than the color models..... Use the money you save on a Barnes and Noble gift card to buy books.... The library here just got setup with Nook Books - pretty cool..... FYI - best reasons to buy the color 1. magazine subscriptions to see color illustrations 2. kids books which have color illustrations |

Kindle is only 120 dollars or so. They are all the same. If its just for reading, get the kindle. Cheaper! |

Bought my wife the Nook color 3g she absoultly loves it. I got it with the 3g and wifi so she can donload books anywhere their is cell phone service. The nice thing too is it that Barnes and Noble has like over 2 million books and The kinde which is powered by Amazon only has like 200 thousand. Its also nice if ya have a Barnes and Noble near by they let you read and preview books for free inside the store b4 ya buy them. |

I called the Barns and Noble sto .... gonna go over there and do some mo studyin'. Thays talked like thays have 3 models to choose from ... startin' at 115 then 129 then I thank thays said 2 hundred and somthin' .... Thanks fo ya'lls input ..... I just seen one of these thangs by accident and I thot   mines wife would like one of them .....

Since my wife is a really big book reader I got her one for her B-day this past November. Got the B/W b/c at the time the color model did not have 3G. She loves it. Takes it with her were ever she goes. The library here is set up so that she can check out digital copies of books she wants to read at no cost. She has only read 4 or 5 hard copy books since then. A lot of my family, including my 60+yo offshore working dad has one. Well worth the money. |
