 University of Louisiana Lafayette
I came across a article in the local news that basically was bragging on the size of the last graduating class size at ULL. Going through the #'s in the different colleges the article goes on to thank the large number of foreign students for this accomplishment. Am I the only one that gets PO'd over this? In the early 90's, when I was there, it would just make me sick to see all these sob's get all the class's they needed (they did not have to go though the drop/add process as everyone else) and financial aid they need for NO COST TO THEM. House them, feed them, educate them, and send them back to their country for free, and for what???????

 Re: University of Louisiana Lafayette
The "Asian Brigade" was bust during my days there, most had jobs given to them by the University in different area's. One such area actually had access to certain documents (test),their coalition had no problem stealing these until they where busted, kind of like the Southern Univ. teachers we are so proud of that bought their grades at will? I will agree some of these foreign students are great people, but in the end isn't it our kids having to take the back seat in their own country?

Did you know Richard Simmons and Osama bin Laden were once students there? You won't find anything about Osama going there on the net, though.

I feel your pain. I go to troy university in troy al and we have a HUGE international program. More asians and carpet flyers than you can shake a stick at. As a matter of fact we have campuses all over the world which really doesnt help our situation here because EVERYBODY wants to transfer to america, but NOBODY wants to obey the rules or learn the native language. They actually busted a prostitution business a couple years ago that was being run out of the international dorms here on campus.

 Re: University of Louisiana Lafayette
Damn, what has my alma mater USL become? Back when I was there, guys would come to class straight from the duck blind with dog still in their kennels. The chicks were always DTF and most of the under 21 crowd from LSU would go out in Lafayette. It was something like 5-1 girls to guys enrollment. Jake Delhomme was our QB and we beat A&M that year. The torn down goalposts showed up at a bar a few blocks away. Good memories!
