Brad, make sure you are up to date on Tetinuous (SP?) & if you have any left over anti-biotics take them for 5 days. Gators (if that's what got you) have tons of bacteria in their mouths last thing you want is a flesh eating bacteria getting in there.

It dosent look very bad now that I cleaned it up, when it was bleeding it looked bad --- but yea JC is right -- it was just a flesh wound.

I been keepin it open a little and alcohol on it.

Flesh wound or not, it could end up nasty. You should see the nasty shit we see in the OR. Alcohol is good and so is bleach! Brad if it starts any signs of infection, get your ass to a doctor.

Had a lady get finned while cleaning catfish up here and due to complications ended up having both hands and a leg amputated. Wife said it was bad. But you got to think its an issue with the individual. Immune system not working or something.

Its very common as the water temps rise! I tend not to wade because of it. I use a diluted solution of bleach on the boat to wash your hands & have iodine for any cuts etc

Dic you ought to have 8 to 10 on the floor of the boat!! Teeth all over the place

I did have a close call one night!! When I get home I put them in a big fiberglass box and ice them!! I had about a 6 footer and when I pulled him out the boat I tried to get it in the box in one motion!! He was just to heavy for that the gaff came out and I had 3 teeth craps about 6 inches down my leg!! If it would have caught my calf it would have ripped me open!! I think they have the sharpest teeth of any thing I have ever seen!!
