probably a good bit. I know the bigger storage units like that cost like 6K before you even move them. Im assuming he probably had them moved to a remote location(hunting camp) so that probably cost him a few more thousand. plus materials and furniture etc. Id be willing to say he put at least 50 into it.

I wouldn't do that unless I got a steal on the containers, by the time you get it out there, insulated, walled in, plumbed and wired, you would have a good bit in it.
The roof is flat too, I can see that being a problem.

has anyone ever been in a shipping container? They build moisture VERY bad.....
It is a cool idea, and i'm sure witht he proper vents it will work and be very safe from storms......
but it will rust our in 10 years with the dirt pilled up on the sides like that. we have one right now that was on the ground for 7 years and the bottom in rusted off.

You cam actually pick up them containers for under a 1000 if you look good enough and they're in good shape alot of the time to 6k you just in to much of a hurry to buy one
