The lake is dry too?

Most of the real nice areas to ride are gone. I haven't been out in a month or so, but I know the North end of the lake is in BAD shape. Goose prarie is GONE! Lil bit of water in the boatlane leaving crips, but not much. The rest of it is just an overgrown island. I've never seen it this bad.

When we were over in July it was lower than I have ever seen. Alot of the pocket right out of Crips was out of the water and dry.

Stanco posted this on the MB site a week or so ago. It's the boat lane leaving crips.

I'm guessing that DDM would be able to ride right up on the dry land with his GTR though.

You probably wouldn't have any trouble launching at any of these ramps either, huh?

Well, you can look at the positive side - Never a better time to work on the boat ramps.

Post subject:  Re: I sure wish

Yeah, the state will get right on that. My duck season looks promising! Can't wait! :?

There is very few places you can even launch at. Few places have enough water, but only a foot or so of the ramp left so unless you want to rip your axle off the trailer, you still can't launch. Gonna be a lot of walking or some long rides across open water this year and even then there isn't any backwater so you can't really get away from other people and you have no cover. The creeks and rivers that feed all these lakes are nothing but dry beds.

Maybe I'll lose some weight...

Due to the sever drought & lack of water for most of the inland lakes, I will be hosting guided trips for all of the NTX guys at a super low rate of only $400 per hunt. I'll even supply the fuel, lodging, & food. You just bring your shells, guns, & waders.

Yea f*** trying to run anywhere on caddo except boat lanes and certain spots on the big lake right now!

Last time I was there was right before teal season and it sucked. Especially in my long ass CC rig. Got off the trail couple times and hit more stumps I ever have in my entire life of being on that lake. So much vegetation and lilies hide every single stump!

Ran into Harrison bayou area just to see Billy carters new blind. Then decided to get a wild hair and go little further back. Which wasnt a mistake but I got stuck in a power slide and got temporarily detained for bout an hour on thick crusted over mud, gumbo mud, and veggies mixed. Of course at this time it started raining!

The entire time I was cussing "if I had FPR I would already be out!!" and that is a damn fact in that particular situation

Instant Reverse wouldn't do shit!
Only way we got out was I left the throttle wide open and both me and Courtney were having to shake the boat side to side, along with me turning the wheel back and forth. All while it was raining!! Just so yall know, No Hydroturf, with mud on bare aluminum floor and it's raining = a few wipeouts while trying to get the boat unstuck.

My motor is in middle hole. Only thing that might have helped was if I could have dropped it to the bottom hole. Of course I didn't have tools to do this.

I now see why 90% of everyone who owns a mud motor that lives on the lake drives a ProDrive.
However, I dont go over there near as much anymore and most of the time the GTR is best for where I run.

All our boats are sitting on dry ground at our lakehouse out there. Luckily with the water as low as it is, we're gonna be able to rebuild our boat house without bringing out a barge.
