Post YETI COOLER SALE!!!
Guys I know some of you think it's crazy to pay $200 for an ice chest but I thought I would pass the word along for you guys who are interested. If any of you are going on vacation to the Gulf Shores area and are in the market for a quality ice chest....I stumbled on a pretty good deal at a supermarket in Pascagoula Ms. The name of the store in Wayne Lees Supermarket. I talked to the guy earlier today and he's selling his Yeti coolers pretty close to cost....way better than anywhere else I've seen. He's got the 55 qt roughneck series for $180 and the 65 qt tundra for $239. The store is not far off the interstate and if you are coming from La. you pretty much have to pass through there on Interstate 10. I've priced them at other places and he is beeting the price by $60 -100.

So if you're heading that way and are in the market for an icechest that will last you a lifetime go check it out.

I've always wanted one of those, I'm just afraid to leave it in the back of my truck if I had to run in to a store or such. If somebody steals my igloo, I'm out ~$25.

Dont waste your money.I have one and we have tested it in SouthTexas heat. The 7 day coolers for way less $$$ do the same thing. The ONLY thing i like about my Yeti is when you put it in the boat or back of pickup. It will not slide. You have to pick it up to move it.I WILL NOT buy another one.

That's disappointing. I've heard nothing but good things about them. :?

I've yet to find a 5-day cooler that will keep ice like they claim. I'm guessing their 5-day test is dumping the cooler full of ice with nothing in the cooler and not opening it for 5-days. They probably also cooled the cooler to 32F to help their claim.

I bought the old school stainless Coleman I found on sale and used Cabela's points with no money out of pocket. Love all the stainless hardware and how rugged it is, but it won't keep ice any longer then their cheap coolers.

and they most likely use block ice in their testing...

I've got a 70 qt. Icey Tek (no longer in business, but the same type) and love it, but there is no way, no how that thing is keeping ice for the 7 days they claimed. It does, however, keep ice WAY longer than any cheap-o cooler. Plus, they are built much better than the standard offerings

They are very well built.Should last a long time.I paid $200 for the Yeti at a fundraiser and my $45 Coleman Xtreme will keep ice and drinks just as long and Dont have to worry about someone stealing the coleman.

If it keeps ice that well, then now you DO have reason to worry. Don't take your eyes off it with me around...

Yeti bought out Icey Tech I believe. I think the roughneck is the old Icey Tech. It's $180.

I got a 65 qt. Tundra....... for free.

My company gave us one for Christmas last yr. It is BY FAR, da baddest ice chest I ever owned. It won't hold ice no 7 days, but it'll hold ice a helluva lot longer than most ice chests (never owned one of dem kinds Cope's talkin about). It don't slide in da boat at all..... it'll flip over before it slides. And even Sandman's big ass can stand on top of & do jumpin-jacks without hurtin it. lol

But with all dat said.... I still wouldn't pay dat much for an ice chest. $200 would be a good down payment on an ice machine. But I'd damn sure take another free one. lol
