Re: learn to slow down WE owners
From another site: Yep it happended at Hurricane the guy was in my group I hunted with no need to mention his name. We were headed out at around noon on the creek coming back in I was behind him, He went around a sharp right hand turn in the creek and was hugging the far rgt side, he was running a 1542 War Eagle with a 25 and there was another boat coming from the other way that was in a 1648 War Eagle also with a 25 problem was that boat was also hugging the same side which would have been the left side to them, both the boats saw each other about 10 yard apart and immediately let off the throttle problem was they both turned the same way to avoid hitting each other and hit head on no one was hurt or got thrown out and it could have been a lot worse.

Re: learn to slow down WE owners
Sounds like they got lucky nobody got injured.
I had a guy run up the back of the hull in the fog one morning took the cowling out, almost swamped the stern and scared the crap out of me. Said he never saw the stern light. 8,000 acre wide open lake, an the damn fool runs into me.

Re: learn to slow down WE owners
the 1542 WE are .80 gauge , the 1648 are .100, we see the difference in .20 I guess Hurrican is one of the worst places I have over run a boat and you can get lost in there for years and never find your way out.
