I've been working in a machine shop going on a year now, anybody out there found a type of work boot/ sole that doesn't get completely f#cked by metal chips on the floor? On my fet at least 12 hours a day.

I had pretty decent service from Brahma boots when I worked at a machine shop. They got shavings stuck in the sole, but lasted well over a year.

Steel Blue boots are awesome, tad on the spendy side. Worth every penny!

I'm on concrete floors all day at work plus up and down on forklifts

I've been wearing the danner quarry 2.0 boots since I started, the chips have just poked holes in the soles so when I go outside the snow makes the bottom of my feet wet, just purchased some ariat steel toes with the clear sole and the are breaking in like a son of a bitch. Didnt know if maybe there was a better option. Thanks everyone!

As far as I know, the best I can suggest you better than anyone as I also do work in a metal scrap shop. Every day I return to home with almost 5-10 chips struck in my outer sole but it won't affect my shoes anymore when I switched to Adio by indestructible shoes which got steel layer in the midsole. It makes your shoes a little bit heavy but you can sacrifice some of your swiftness for wear and tear. I also tested its sole for slippery and oily surfaces and hands down to its manufacturing.

I wonder how many pairs of boots the original poster has gone through in 7 years.
