That sucks. Sounds like my luck, it could be raining pu**y and mine would have a pecker broke off in it.

We had a t-storm one afternoon and I walked out on the deck after it was over and BOOOOOMMMMM a big blue light came up out of the ground and my azz hit the deck. The bolt was about 30 feet from me. Hair on end, metal taste in my mouth. Looked over and smoke was coming up from the side of the house. Blew the window out, sheetrock off the wall, blew up two TV's, killed the washing machine and the lights in the kitchen didn't work. The electrician said it made the wires in the house jump. All of em. Some connections came loose 40' from where it hit.
My hunting buddy's uncle is in the Guinness book of records for getting hit by lightning 7 times. Lived. His hillbilly wife shot him over a mo-bile home.

Sorry fo yore loss. You know ... since you mentioned this act of nature...seems like a long time ago I heard of that happenin' several times and I don't thank I've heard of any livestock bein' hit in a long time. Did it leave any physical damage or did it just kill the horse?

Had a friend of mine have five horses killed at the same time when lightning hit the tree they were taking cover under. You know there was not a mark on those horses. That is one of the worst things I have ever seen. Looked like they were all sleeping under that tree. I hate to hear about your loss. I can empathize with you. I am nervous every time a storm comes through because of that.

Sorry fore your loss too. Some bad weather came through here last night in Thibodaux. I heard some folks were not home in Chackbay, the house got hit by lightning, and fire dept. couldn't do much by the time they arrived and the whole thing burnt to the ground. Nothing left but a pile of ashes.
