 Under the knife
Guys, as of last week I've been recovering from the first major surgery of my life. Somehow in doing all of the things we do, I managed to herniate three discs and pinch a nerve. So I found a guy I trusted and let him do the operation. It was a hard decision to make with all of the bad stories you hear about back surgery but I'm 25 and couldn't do half the stuff I normally could.
As of right now there's no more pain in my leg and the back seems to be healing well. The doc took out the excess, shaved off some bone fragment and fused some tissue to strengthen the main disc.
For now I have two more weeks till I can go back to work. I'm about to lose my mind sitting around the house not being able to do anything. I'm sure some of you can relate. For now I'm just gonna hope I get back to normal as soon as I can.

 Re: Under the knife
I was off work for close to 8 weeks last winter, blew out a disk in my lower back. Spent 3 days unable to get off the floor, crawled out of bed to the living room, ate pain killers and hit the floor again until the pain killers kicked in enough that I could stand up for a minute to piss. Repeated this process until it was time to crawl back to bed.
I like pain killers but their not as much fun when you're actually in pain.
I slowly got to where I could at least move about the house on my feet, wouldn't really call it walking though, all bent to one side and dragging one leg, felt like a cripple. It took a long time to get back to 100%.
Anywho, physical therapy got me back on my feet but if it becomes a reoccuring problem surgery will be an option.
