CTEK battery chargers? Saw 'em on one of those automotive television shows on Spike saturday mornin' and it looks pretty cool. Very compact, they say it will never over charge your battery, and can be used with all kinds of different batteries depending on which model you buy. I been looking into getting a charger, just not sure which one yet. Saw this one, thought it looked cool but wanted to see if anyone has used or seen them used before. http://www.ctek.com/EN-US/Default.aspx |

I don't know if you are looking to leave that thing in your boat permanently like an onboard charger or not. But, if you're looking for a good portable you may want to look at one of these. http://www.blackanddecker.com/ProductGu ... ctID=15579 I'm on my second one, as some messican stole my other. They are made by Vector which makes various electrical devices. I have the 3000w power inverter and 2 million cp cordless spotlight and I can't complain about any of the three. Now that Black & Decker bought out Vector you can buy these chargers at Wally World. I think it was about $65-70. It has the jumpstart, voltage meter, desulfurization mode, and alternator tester. It also charges flooded, gel, and agm batteries. It charges in three stages and will float when done. |
