I am putting my gas tank in the front of the boat, so I need to run a new, longer fuel line from the tank to the motor. What brand of fuel line is recommended and where do I get it? I will probably use 1/4" line, and I saw a Sierra recommendation on here somewhere, so I thought I would ask again. |

Brad, I got mine from an outboard shop.. if your going to run ya tank from the front, I would suggest these two things - Fuel Pump, and bigger fuel line than 1/4.. |

Auto Zone has Goodyear/Marine grade 1/4" fuel line & all the fittings. When that wears out, I`ll probably get some of that high dollar SIERRA. |

Wish I knew the answer to that Brooks. Didn't know there was a problem with it until I fished a little tourney on Toledo Bend earlier in the year. We cut across to the Texas side and then back, fished a little more, and then started having trouble. Everything was fine on top-end I would just have to start off slowly to get on step. When I got it home I wanted to drain the tank, so I took the hose off the motor and started pumping the bulb. A chit load of plastic came out. I cut the fuel line open and that is what I found. That was a Mercury fuel line which came with the bulb the last time the bulb was changed. |
