Post Honda 4 Stroke outboards?
Anybody know anything about em,

I got a buddy looking to repower his Grady White.

He is looking at some 500 hour 2001 Yamaha HPDI 2 stroke counter rotating 200's

I found a pair of 2004 Honda 4 stroke counter rotating 225's unknown hours that he is curious about.

I have heard that you can get 2000 hrs out of the Yamaha's if you service em right.

Not sure about the motor although I have never heard anything bad, but you can check the hours on th if a mechanic hooks it up to a computer.at not be a bad thing to check into.

i have 1700 hrs on a set of 150 HPDI's w/o any probs! on the older model HPDI Yamahas it seemed that the higher horsepower engines had most of the trouble. Have a 250 HPDI on de bay boat dats on it's 2nd powerhead with less than 500 total hrs.

the Hondas seem like solid motors, but i have heard of & seen several lower units dat went south! got a podnah w/ 600 hrs on a pair of 225's w/o any trouble!
