I am pumped up the new regulations for California just came out, 100 days strait and 2 pintails this season. |

The Pacific Flyway has had the most liberal season (107 days) of all flyways for a long time. Pintails, however, have always been managed for the continental population numbers despite the fact that they are thick as flies out west. I wish I had a buck for every bluebird day I have hunted in Cali or the Klamath Basin where all that was flying (other than spoonies) was Pintail. Ironically, we don't get too many sprig in the Idaho Panhandle but it will be nice to be able to shoot two if we ever get a day where they are massing in our spot. |
